Founded by Tiara, CROWN STUDIO is a Sydney-based creative practice shaped by over 20 years of experience across architecture, interiors, graphic design, and object-making.

Moving between disciplines and scales, Tiara’s work is grounded in an interest in the relationships between people, objects, spaces, and their surroundings. Storytelling and the ways we experience and connect with the things around us inform an approach that considers not only how something looks, but how it feels, functions, and carries meaning.

The current body of work explores jewellery as small-scale sculpture. Each object begins with an intuitive exploration of form, sculpted in wax through carving, shaping, mark-making, and surface experimentation before being cast in sterling silver using the lost wax casting process.

After casting, each object is individually refined and finished by hand, preserving the qualities of the original sculpted form and subtle traces of the making process. Rather than pursuing perfect repetition, CROWN STUDIO celebrates individuality, material expression, and thoughtful design.

OUR DESIGN APPROACH

EXPLORE
SCULPT
CAST
REFINE
WEAR
1 | EXPLORE

Each piece begins through material exploration, guided by curiosity, intuition, and experimentation.

3 | CAST

The wax form is cast in sterling silver using the ancient lost wax casting process, preserving the texture, gesture, and detail of the original piece.

5 | WEAR

The finished object is made to be worn, kept, and valued over time.

2 | SCULPT

The wax model is shaped slowly, allowing proportion, texture, and gesture to develop through the making process.

4 | REFINE

After casting, each piece is individually cleaned, refined, and finished to honour its unique form and surface detail.
